H-MAX System
Characteristics of the system
The implant is designed to maximise long term results.
The cancellous bone is compressed to ensure proximal press-fit, producing primary stability without damaging the bone tissue; the biological implant coating enhances the secondary stability of the implant. The combination of a dedicated instrument set, no lateral flare, and a rounded distal tip make the stem easy to insert from any approach, including keyhole surgery.
Technology
The cementless stems are in Titanium alloy with a Hydroxyapatite coated macro-textured surface to ensure fast and efficient osteointegration.
The cemented stems are in high mechanical strength corrosion-resistant M30NW alloy (FeCrNiMnMoNbN). The surface is polished to prevent wear of the cement mantle.
Modularity
Joint stability is dependent on compliance with biomechanical parameters and correct muscle tensioning. With its 12 modular necks, the H-MAX M stem allows the correct centre of rotation to be restored in all three dimensions, by varying the offset, implant length and anteversion.
